Clerk's Office

The Clerk's office is located on the third floor of the Courthouse in Room 304.  The office of the County Clerk is an elected position and is to serve a four year term and no more than eight years in a 12 year period.  The Clerk is known as the "Keeper of the Records."  The Office develops, maintains, and stores all court documentation for Circuit and Superior Courts.  The Office responsibilities include collection and disbursement of court costs, fines, judgments, restitution, and various other fees.  In addition the Office collects and disburses child support payments, issues marriage licenses and conducts all elections.  The staff in the Clerk's office looks forward to serving our community.
