What is Service Connected Disability? Do I receive a monthly check?
Disability compensation is a monetary benefit paid to Veterans who are determined by VA to be disabled by an injury or illness that was incurred or aggravated during active military service.
What is a non-service connected Pension?
This is a low-income benefit paid monthly. Veteran must have served during wartime.
What is DIC? (Dependency and Indemnity Compensation).
Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) is a tax-free monetary benefit paid to eligible survivors of military Service members who died in the line of duty or eligible survivors of Veterans whose death resulted from a service-related injury or disease.

Call or visit our office and we will request them for you.

Can I as a Veteran, Active Military, Guard or Reservist get educational benefits?

What are the Burial costs for a veteran?
The Veteran was receiving VA pension or compensation at the time of death.
How to obtain a Bronze marker or Medallion for a veteran’s grave?
The funeral home will work with the family to acquire this.
Will the VA help with nursing home and assisted living facility costs?
Yes. For a veteran or a surviving spouse.
Will the VA pay for hearing aids?
Yes. You must first be enrolled in the VA Healthcare.
How do I check on the claim that I filed?
You can call 800-827-1000 and say “claim status” at the prompt
Can I get a reduced fee for Hunting & Fishing licenses?
Yes. Indiana resident who is service-connected disabled by VA may purchase a license. Call the office for form.
Receive a flag for a Veteran’s grave on Memorial Day?
Our office coordinates with Sullivan County groups who place flags on graves.
I have an American Flag that needs to be disposed of. Where can I take it to?
Take the Flag to an American Legion or VFW post.
How do I get a VA Home Loan?
You need a Certificate of Eligibility COE.
